C. Scott Lanz has been a member of the firm's Civil Litigation and Tort Insurance Practice sections since entering the practice of law in 1980. His practice is concentrated in the areas of personal injury, insurance defense, product liability and other civil litigation. He is also a member of the firm's Labor and Employment Law section and represents employers, insurers and third-party administrators in employee benefit disputes, employment litigation, and workers' compensation cases before the Industrial Commission, the Mahoning and Trumbull County Courts of Common Pleas, the Franklin County Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Ohio, and the United District Courts for Northern and Southern Ohio.Mr. Lanz is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Ohio and before the United States Supreme Court. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Louisiana State University in 1976 and his Juris Doctor degree from The Ohio State University in 1980. He is a member of the Mahoning County, Ohio State, and American bar Associations.
Mr. Lanz also is a member of the Youngstown YMCA and the Friends of Riverside Gardens, where he currently serves on the board of trustees.
