Jeffrey D. Heintz practices in the firm's Business Law and Estate Planning and Probate Law sections. Mr. Heintz assists clients in the preparation of wills, trusts and other real estate planning documents. Mr. Heintz represents clients in the formation of businesses, in the negotiation and preparation of agreements and contracts, including the buying and selling of businesses, and the registration and enforcement of intellectual property rights, excluding patents.He advises clients in connection with the purchase and sale of real estate and assists clients with construction and mechanics lien disputes. In addition, Mr. Heintz represent commercial and consumer lenders in a variety of areas, including foreclosure, and lender liability litigation, and counsels both local governments and financial institutions in connection with municipal financing and public securities issues.
Mr. Heintz obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude in Business Administration / Political Science in 1981 from Westminster College and earned a Juris Doctor degree in 1984 from the University of Virginia. He is admitted to practice in Ohio and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. He serves on the board of trustees of the Mahoning-ShenangoValley Estate Planning Counsel and is a member of the advisory committee for the Florence Beecher Foundation.
