Joseph R. Young is a member of the firm's Civil Litigation and Labor and Employment Law sections. He is a trial attorney with experience in worker's compensation appeals, wrongful discharge and discrimination cases, tort litigation, public contract disputes, securities claims and general civil litigation. Mr. Young also advises employers on workers' compensation and related employment issues and represents employers in proceedings before the Bureau of Worker's Compensation and the Industrial Commission of Ohio.Mr. Young obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Northwestern University in 1979 and received his Juris Doctor degree from Duke University School of Law in 1982. He has served as an attorney with Manchester Bennett Powers & Ullman since 1982. He is admitted to practice law in Ohio and is a frequent lecturer on worker's compensation discrimination and other employment issues.
